Shoclef is a global marketplace that offers competitive prices for everyday products. It is available in more than 150 countries. It is essentially an e-commerce website with a touch of social media elements to it. It also has iOS and android applications.

I worked on the back-end development which includes WCF WEB services, Asp.NET, Angular, .NET Core, API’s, Push notifications, Video calling using Twilio, Payment Gateways (i.e. stripe, PayPal), Google Maps (Geo Location), Chat bots, Socket.IO, LINQ and SQL Servers.

Shoclef has multiple features. Its social features include the ability to create profiles, newsfeeds, like, follow, comment, share, add friends, create posts etc. Two types of profiles can be registered on this platform- a buyer, who can purchase from online stores or a seller, who can upload a product on their digital store.

Along with standard e-commerce features such as shipping, payment, search, tracking of parcel etc., a unique feature that Shoclef has is live streaming in its global marketplace to buy and sell products. During these live shopping sessions, the sellers’ product list is available on scroll, while the interested buyers can request to see different angles, ask questions, and buy them on spot, in real time, all in the comfort of their homes.

Moreover, apart from selling products, users could also market and sell their services. For example, electricians, make up artists, masseuse etc. could all offer their services in a defined location radius (area).
